Denver Bitcoin Society

Denver Bitcoin Society is hosting a meetup next Thursday - Nov. 7th, though no location has been set - I think it'd be cool if anyone interested joined this meet up if a location gets going! (So head over and suggest one!)

Otherwise I'll schedule a meetup for later in November as I will be in California for a few weeks.

Just now realized we had a Denver Bitcoin Society. Want to stay up and help promote Bitcoin awareness in the community. Am just a lowly miner but very active in spreading the word online. Include me in. Thanks to researching Jordan Baucke I've now found the new meetup. Thanks!

darn, just missed it. I'm a code contributor to the Electrum Bitcoin wallet, and recently I've begun trying to help the core Bitcoin dev team as well, hopefully in the area of attack/disaster risk mitigation. love to meet other folks into Bitcoin, especially fellow programmers, entrepreneurs/merchants or investors.

Darn, I can't believe I missed this. When's the next one? As great as the internet is, it'd be nice to meet a few other bitcoin users in person.

Hi guys - good seeing you tonight! And meeting some new people!

    I've setup a twitter account: https://twitter.com/COBTC

Which can act as a "Colorado Bitcoin Info Relay"! Feel free to @COBTC and you'll get an automated retweet to all of the followers of this account to tell them about Bitcoin related stuff in Colorado!

    Hey All,

So it looks like Denver Bitcoin society ended up changing it's location to wheat ridge!

So WE WON'T BE AT the location that was previous listed.

I'm not sure if there is a way to contact everyone but if I find it - I'll send out a note.

Can we talk to some bars and see if they'll accept tabs in bitcoin? A quick google search doesn't yield any results. Does anyone know someone who knows someone?

Paid for drinks at a bar in NYC last weekend with bitcoin:) So sick...

    See you all soon.

Yeah that was it! It was sick! I don't see why a small business wouldn't do it. It was easy.

Visit the "Denver Bitcoin Society" site (in the description to watch that for updates as well)

Hey guys so I deferred to "Ben" over in Denver Bitcoin Society since this was really his meet-up to begin with, it looks like: Galvanize on 1062 Delaware, is what he is leaning towards. He said he will update tomorrow. I'll put that as the location now - and update as necessary.

I think that its unlikely we can talk a bar into accepting BTC on such short notice, but maybe next time. So, why don't we just stick with Wynkoops for now?
