Israel Bitcoin Meetup Group Message Board › Agenda changed for next meetup + limited seating

Agenda changed for next meetup + limited seating

Ron G.
Hello everyone

We wanted to notify you of a few important messages:

Bitcoin in Israel is booming in the last week. This meetup group alone has grown from 100 members on Thursday, to 152 members today, and there have been several articles and TV stories about Bitcoin. We are expecting a greater-than-planned attendance at our next meetup, and wanted to make the following announcements:

  • The current facilities at eToro can hold a maximum of 32 people. There are currently 62 people who RSVPed, so please be sure to update if you really intend to come or not. Usually so far, we had an attendance rate of about 50% of the planned headcount, so we should be ok with the current facilities.

  • Currently we're planning a "first come first served" setup - if more than 32 people arrive, the first 32 people to get there will get seats. This is far from ideal, and we are thinking of ways to solve this issue.
  • My talk about Bitcoin Alternatives/Fork has been delayed to another meetup - due to the large number of newcomers, we prefer to focus on introductory material and Q&A.
  • One other thing, just to clarify - this and any other meetup we've organized so far are free of charge - zero entrance fees.

In order to help us help you, let us know whether you're coming or not.
