Pamela Morgan | Cryptoasset Inheritance Planning
What happens to your crypto assets when you die? If you want your family to have them, there are steps you have to take now to prepare for this inevitability. Do it now. Learn how. Pamela Morgan will teach you. Bio: Pamela D. Morgan is an attorney, educator, and entrepreneur. She has spent almost her entire career working in and advising small businesses. Licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois, she has extensive legal experience in business organization, risk analysis, contract negotiation and drafting, and dispute resolution through consensus building. She began focusing her law practice exclusively on bitcoin and digital currencies in early 2014. Much of her practice involves teaching others how to use bitcoin and blockchain technology to reduce risk and uncertainty in business and legal settings. She is a widely respected authority on multi-signature governance and legal innovation using digital currencies. In early 2015, she founded Third Key Solutions, LLC, a key consulting firm that works with individuals and organizations to improve the security of their crypto-assets and ensure these assets are accessible in the event of a crisis or disaster. For organizations, TKS evaluates and improves current internal processes for companies working with digital currencies. These processes are designed to mitigate risk through separation of duties, internal oversight, and planning for business continuity and disaster. TKS works with individuals to improve their security and to ensure their heirs can inherit their crypto-assets, without turning them over to a third party. A former college professor and director of business programs, she has taught business law, entrepreneurship, management, communications, and legal research and writing courses. Within higher education, her focus areas include teaching, training, course design and implementation, course and program assessment, and building community partnerships. She has also co-led a number of professional development workshops on teaching, learning and assessment. Pamela earned a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University, cum laude, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Programming, highest honors, from Davenport University, and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Small Business Management, with honors, from Schoolcraft College.
