Government Bitcoin policy has become a US presidential election issue. Once only the concern of minor party or independent candidates like RFK jr., even the leading major party candidate has recognised its benefits and has now unapologetically embraced it, campaigning on a pro-Bitcoin platform.

But what of Australia, or even New South Wales? Given the power those who control the fiat money supply have over the lives of everyone who uses it and the even greater power sought by those who want total control of how it may be spent and by whom, by introducing central Bank digital currencies, the necessity of Bitcoin has been recognised by our freedom friendly minor parties.

Join us for an evening of lively, entertaining and informative discussion as we delve into all the ways our interests as Bitcoiners intersect with those leading the charge against authoritarianism and big government overreach in Australia.

🌏 SPEAKERS:

The Hon. John Ruddick, MLC

John Ruddick is the First Libertarian Party member of the NSW parliament, elected in 2023 to an 8 year term. Originally a member of the Liberal Party, he left it to join the Liberal-Democrats (as the Libertarian Party was then known), primarily in response to COVID-19. His maiden speech to the NSW parliament made international headlines when it was banned from YouTube after John questioned Australia's draconian response to COVID. Never before in Australian history has a politician's maiden speech to parliament been banned.

Prior to parliament, John owned a property finance business based on Sydney’s North Shore. He is an avid reader, a student of history, and often contributes to Spectator Australia and Sky News Australia. In 2018 he wrote a book titled, "Make the Liberal Party Great Again" but decided to join the Libertarian Party during the Liberal Party’s overreaction to COVID.

Mr. Craig Kelly

Craig Kelly is a former federal Liberal Party MP and now independent.
He gained widespread public recognition for his opposition to Covid mandates, something that many free-thinking Bitcoiners are appreciative of. Craig has been a prominent candidate in two of Australia's "freedom friendly minor parties", only this week parting ways with One Nation after attempting to have them work more in concert with the other similar parties. As an advocate for personal freedom and being willing to publicly challenge mainstream dogmatic narratives, we are pleased to have him join our Q&A panel.
