New Meetup: Austin Ext JS September Meetup

From: Brian M.

Announcing a new Meetup for The Austin Ext JS / Sencha Meetup Group!

What: Austin Ext JS Meetup

When: Wednesday, September 29,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Tech Ranch Austin
2311 W. Rundberg Lane Suite 200
Austin, TX 78758

We had a great turnout for our inaugural meetup last month, so I thought I'd keep the ball rolling and set one up for September. I've secured a meeting space for us at Tech Ranch Austin which should give us plenty of room to get comfortable.

For this meeting, I think it might be interesting to do a "show and tell" style presentation where anyone who's interested can lead a short discussion on what they are doing with Ext JS (or any related technology that this group would find interesting). I'll kick it off with a demo and technical overview of my current project Ext Calendar Pro, and hopefully a few other folks will also be interested in sharing what they're doing. If you'd be willing to share with the group, please reply to me with your ideas and we'll coordinate from there. Note that this does not have to be anything formal or prepared in advance -- just a short verbal description would be great (although if you have screen shots or anything else just let me know).

I'd also like to use this meetup to plan topics for future meetings. Note the "Ideas" link in the navigation bar -- please use that link to suggest meetup ideas and to vote up any ideas you find interesting. That would be a great help in planning future topics.

I'll be furnishing a selection of beer and soda for the group. In the future I'd like to get the refreshments sponsored, but for now if everyone who partakes would kick in a couple of bucks to help cover the cost I'd appreciate it. If anyone knows of (or works at) a company that might be willing to sponsor the group for say $50 or so per meeting, that would be awesome!

I think that's it -- I hope to see you there. If you have any other ideas or feedback for me, please let me know!
