• Blockchain implementations - hosted by/with the Accenture Future Camp
In our 4th meetup we present some very interesting Blockchain implementations and is hosted by/with the Accenture Future Camp. Don't miss the Börse building in Vienna! FYI: This time we have limited seats available, so please be sure to come by or cancel your RSVP! Thanks! Agenda: 10 min: Introduction + Blockchain News by organizers Matthias/Erhard 60 min: Main Topic(s): - Accenture BC Deutsche Entwicklungsbank Case + Showcase Tool - 30 min - by Andreas Freitag (Accenture Blockchain Lead) - Sovrin (https://sovrin.org/) - identity for all - by Markus Sabadello - 30 min Online systems that use personal data are centralized, making them treasure chests for attackers. This leaves everyone subject to privacy invasion while managing dozens of usernames and passwords. It also leaves businesses accountable to manage this valuable private information, often at great risk. The structure of the Sovrin Identity Network, based upon advanced distributed ledger technology, fundamentally changes that. Distributed ledgers separate data, duplicate it thousands of times, and synchronize each copy across a global network that no single entity controls. Updates are then securely corroborated with the entire network before any changes can be made. Since ownership of the data stays with the individual, any attempt to change so much as a single character without their consent can be immediately detected and is rejected by the network. 5 min per talk: Lightning Talks by the community - GOVTECH PIONEERS Tag am[masked] - by Matthias Lichtenthaler (Head of Digital Transformation @ Bundesrechenzentrum) - Core Coin - The coin of a circulating economy - by Lazar Prijovic Discussion Closing / Socializing Lightning Talk? • Introduction to "Blockchain"
The first Blochainers meetup is about the global view and an introduction to the Blockchain technology. Agenda: 10 min: Introduction by organizers Matthias/Erhard 45 min: Main Topic: "Introduction to Blockchain" by Gerhard Dinhof (Hyperledger Vienna Meetup co-founder, IBM) Let's go beyond cryptocurrencies and explore the possible impact of Blockchain in other industries. What are the basic concepts? Why are there so many Blockchain variations out there and what's the difference between public and permissioned chains? After having sparked your ideas let's explore some options for getting your hands dirty and gain hands-on experience. About Gerhard: Gerhard is passionately advocating Blockchain technology for more than two years at his employer IBM, at meetups and events and teaching at FH Technikum Wien. To keep his balance, he likes to run long distances on remote trails and spending some quality time in the kitchen afterward. 5 min per talk: Lightning Talks by the community: - "Hibernate for Blockchain" by Erhard Dinhobl - "Blockchain and IoT" by Onur Mete - Request for Partners for a Blockchain project by Christoph Witzany - "Presenting IoT Austria TT Blockchain" by Leopold Zyka Lightning Talk?
