Hello All,

We are doing our first meetup of 2020 @ Gojek.
Stay updated by following us on Facebook, Twitter & Slack.

Agenda:
10:00 to 10:45 - MvRx + Epoxy = 🔥 by Kalyan Dechiraju
(Senior Android Developer at Playo - https://twitter.com/kalyandechiraju)

The talk focusses on how to leverage AirBnb's MvRx and Epoxy libraries to improve the application's codebase. Explanation about each library individually and then how to combine them and use in your app. Kalyan will also share his experience about how he implemented them in the Playo App.

10:45 to 11:05 - CameraX: Make photography easier on Android! by Bapusaheb Patil (Mobile Engineer @ Softway - https://twitter.com/baps_patil)

In this session, Bapusaheb will talk about the new CameraX library in Jetpack by Google.
CameraX makes implementing features like image preview, image analysis and image capturing easier. It also helps us leverage additional and in-demand features like Portrait, HDR, Night mode, and more. He would like to create more awareness around this library, talk about how this makes it easier than before to implement camera features and show users how to implement this library in their app.

11:05 to 11:20 - Break

11:20 to 12:00 - Simplifying class manipulation using the Transform API by Farmaan Elahi (Partner at Triveous - https://twitter.com/FarmaanElahi)

Transform API is a part of the Android Gradle Plugin and provides hooks to manipulate the compiled class during the build time before classes are given for Dexing.
It simplifies injecting custom class manipulation without having to deal with Gradle tasks and offers more flexibility on what is manipulated. Some of the projects using the Transform API are ProGuard, MultiDex and RetroLambda. People who are attending the talk will learn how the Android Gradle Plugin works and how they can use the Transform API to manipulate java class files.
