• Then we are able to help you overcome your nerves. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome. The ability and the confidence to speak well in public and deliver a well structured presentations is a skill that many people wish for. Learning to speak in public is a way of building your self confidence personally, at work and socially.
We are a group of people from Bolton and its surrounding areas who all have the same aim: to become better speakers to an audience. Bolton and District Speakers Club by its structured approach is able to assist you achieve your goals by providing a friendly and supportive setting in which you can acquire new speaking skills, gain self confidence, meet new people and have lots of fun. Although new to the Meetup site, our club is proud of our heritage, offering invaluable assistance to hundreds of individuals.
We are members of the Association of Speakers Clubs -http://www.the-asc.org.uk. The ASC is an association of clubs found throughout England and Scotland which promotes its members to have the confidence to speak to an audience. We are always looking to welcome new members to join us or to attend one of our meetings as a taster session (without any pressure to participate). We meet Fortnightly each month from September to May.

Our meetings usually consist of a mixture of prepared speeches and short impromptu talks, all given by members. All following the structured programme of the Association of Speakers Clubs to take us along the path from being a, perhaps nervous, beginner speaker to being able to give a masterpiece speech.
It’s all done at the pace which suits the individual member - you will never have to run before you can walk.
