Hey hey Readers! It's time to start planning our 7th Annual Christmas Party!

Can you believe it's been 7 years? Wow!

We've always had a really great time at this WILDLY popular T-Dot Book Club event, so I hope as many of you can make it as possible. It would be awesome to see you all in a more casual atmosphere - not that our meetings are NOT casual - but this is a party dammit!

PARTY!

For those of you who are new to our traditions, there are a couple of things we do at our holiday bash to make it extra special - and deliciously booky!

First, we do a GIFT GRAB! Party-goers are to bring an unlabeled/un-signed gift wrapped book. Used books are totally acceptable (and are in fact the usual thing folks do), but if the book is used (gently used), please wrap 2 together in one package. If the book is new, only 1 book. These lovely lovely gifts will be placed around the tree, and partiers will draw numbers from a hat and the unwrapping and grabbing begins!

I mean, who better to choose books for book lovers, but BOOK LOVERS! Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this. But be warned: if you don't bring a book to exchange then you won't be able to participate - and we don't want that!

This party is also a pot luck! This is optional. But please only bring only enough to satisfy 4 or 5 people. There is always an abundance of munchies, so any more then that would be too much. Also, bring some tupperware to help out with leftovers.

So, where's this shindig happening?

I'm so glad you asked! Frankie (http://www.meetup.com/bookclub-278/members/2474571/) (one of our assistant organizers) has once again agreedto be our hostess. Thanks Frankie! But in the interest of her privacy and home safety, the address will be emailed to all who RSVP "Yes", closer to the date. ...Remember, that is only the "Yes" RSVP's will get the address information - not the Maybe's, and definitely not the "No's". (But as an FYI, she lives near Chester subway station (Danforth).)

Also:

You're welcome to bring one guest, and it will be up to you to make sure they know about how the gift grab works.

Party on Readers!
