What is the last book you read?

My Antonia by Willa Cather

Did you enjoy that book?

Yes, early pioneer women and peoples transplanted in the midwest from Europe fascinate me. Their lives are so full.

Hi, my name is Alex and I've been a part of Sacramento for over 20 years. I've also been employed by a couple of bookstores in the area, jobs which have heightened my interest in books. I'm mainly a lit and history reader.

What Alexandra R. is saying about this Meetup Group

This was my third time: I'm amazed with the cohesion of the group, a group which is blended with different personalities. There is also laughter which keeps things light. Like some members have said certain books can examine the dark side of human nature, maybe that's why the group members bring their sense of humor. And the book selections, fiction and nonfiction, are great!
