What we're about

Book Club Babes is a book club for everybody! Whether you've read a few or a few hundred books, we welcome all! We will read one book per month rotating between one book that we all read together, and each reading a book of their choice. We will meet either virtually or in person once a month to discuss our thoughts and feelings as well as answer fun and thought provoking prompts about the book that we read. We will also have larger meetups a couple of times per year which will be on theme with the book of the month. We can't wait to discover new books with you!

All members receive a free welcome package which currently includes a book review log, bookmark, pin back button, and stickers!

Harry Potter in Concert & Dinner at Harp and Celt Irish Pub

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

Breakout your robes and wands, you just got your Hogwarts letter!

We're starting the night at the Dr. Phillips Walt Disney Theater to watch the once in a lifetime performance of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in Concert with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra!

We'll end the night a 6 minute walk away at the Harp & Celt Pub for traditional Irish fare and ales!

This event is just for fun and does not require reading the book prior to the meeting, although it may make it more enjoyable and I highly recommend doing it!

Please note, our events are always free, but this one does require the purchase of your ticket from the Dr. Phillips Center beforehand (tickets start at $45 and I highly recommend buying them well in advance.)

For my fellow introverts and those of us who are easily overstimulated, I usually try to pick places that cater to that, however, this will not be the case for this event. It will be a Friday night at a pub downtown so keep this in mind.

More on the performance from the Dr. Phillips website:

"See when Harry discovers a mysterious potions book in CineConcerts’ presentation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ in Concert! Projected onto a giant screen and accompanied by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, you can join in on Harry’s adventures as never before. Nicholas Hooper’s wonderful score and this classic tale combine to deliver all the adventure, humor, and suspense you remember in an experience you’ll never forget."
