Basic country two-step dance lesson with Jerry Muhasky at 7pm (optional), live music for dancing and/or just listening from 7:30 -10-ish. Arrive anytime after 6pm for conversation and socializing prior to the dance lesson and music.
Jenny, "Smiling Jerry" Muhasky, and Tommy Westley have been playing together for several years at the Little Red Hen and elsewhere up north. This is a new venture for them, and now they are indeed out on their own. Jenny is such a diminutive tiny woman,http://photos2.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/7/a/6/e/event_207571342.jpeg sometimes she even has to stand on a pedestal to be seen, but when she opens her mouth to sing... wow, her presence and her big country voice just fill the room. Come on down!

Beverage and limited food service will be available in the Eagles Club lounge, and all ages are welcome in the music area. Bring snacks to share (if you're feeling like a party).
Enter on the 16th Ave NE side of the building. The social hall is on the second floor. Sign in as a guest of "Jerry".
You can park across Lake City Way in the BMW motorcycle lot once they are closed. There is not a lot of parking along 16th NE, but there is street parking one block over to the east (17th Ave NE), and two blocks over to the west, there is plenty of parking at Maple Leaf Park (14th Ave NE and NE 82nd). It is probably easier to cross 15th than to cross Lake City Way.
Nearby bus stops are routes #72 and #73.
Here's what we hear from Jerry:
I'm self-promoting a dance with Jenny and the Tomcats (trio). One good thing about self-promoting is that I get to call the shots... so it is gonna be EARLY! 7:30 -10-ish on a Saturday!!!!! This way, Jenny and Tommy get to be home well before midnight!
The Eagles is a members and guests type of deal, but Katie and I are now members... and they say we can sign in as many guests as we want, so BE OUR GUESTS!
We are hoping to attract the existing Eagle members at the club as well as a bunch of our dancing friends.
No cover charge, but we are encouraging folks to
bring an item for the food bank bring a little cash for the band tip jar (to help this self-promoted event flourish) but you can also just drop in to check the scene, say howdy, or stay awhile.
