It's the Friday after Thanksgiving, also known as Black Friday. If you do not want to go get malled, come out for a hike instead. You may want to get moving again after the Thanksgiving dinner. St. Edward's Park is a great place. It has creekside paths, and ridge views.
It doesn't have much parking, though. We will meet at a different place, and car-pool in. From 360 heading north, one will see two different streets with traffic lights, both labled "Spicewood Springs". Pass the first one, and turn left at the second one, onto Bluffstone Dr. Take the first left into a parking lot, and park near a building that holds big fans. At 11 AM, we will car-pool to the Park. There we will take the high trail, high above Bull Creek, to see the views, the creek, and the birch trees. I call it moderate difficulty, for prolonged steepness and rocks. We will hike for about an hour. Dogs are okay on leash. Bring water, hat, and camera if desired.
Afterward, we go back and get everyone's cars. It will be lunch time, and some of us may go to Waterloo Ice House.
