RSVPing to Friday Meetup

Hello all,

First of all, I wanted to say I was pleasantly surprised that last night had a superb turnout! It was the most well-attended Friday meetup I hosted in a while.

That said, I just wanted to mention that if you are planning to come to the Friday meetup, I strongly urge people to RSVP beforehand. Now that the school year is back in full swing, John Harvard has become much more crowded and thus it becomes that much more critical that I make a reservation with an accurate headcount in advance. I normally expect maybe 2-3 people showing up who didn't RSVP but it went up to 5-6 last night. Normally, the wait staff is pretty accommodating to providing 2-3 extra seats but 5-6 may be pushing it a little. RSVPing and not showing up is also problematic because then I would have seats reserved that the restaurant could be using for other people.

Once again, I'm happy with last night's turnout, but I just ask that everyone who wants to come RSVP in advance. I said on the event page that RSVPs should be done by 3pm the day of so I can make the reservation.

Let me know if you have any questions.
