Actually, Meetup will not tolerate this. I once reported a case where I happened to see that a organizer specifically said in the group description that homosexuals were not welcome to join his bible reading group. Shortly thereafter the group was removed. As an aside, I later found out from a friend who happened to know the organizer that the guy was a pedophile.

The bottom line is that Meetup wants to create a welcoming community.
