Newton Center, MAUSA
July 10, 2008
Grew up in the Houghs Neck neighborhood of Quincy and have lived in Newton since 1993.
I have a lot of favorites but I think the BPL is probably at the top of the list. I have to admit getting teary-eyed seeing the exposed granite "elephant feet" in the undercroft of Trinity Church, though. And patting the bricks of Faneuil Hall with the kids on the Little Feet tours, and introducing them to the Grasshopper makes me extremely happy.
My friends have told me I should work on a "Boston on Fire" tour, since I work for the National Fire Protection Association. Also musing on a revamp of the Captain Kidd treasure hunt.
I LOVE Boston By Foot!! Lifelong local (Quincy native living in Newton) who has found her calling running around downtown telling people that Sam Adams was a troublemaker and that Ben Franklin isn't from Philadelphia.
Learn more about your beautiful, weird city of Boston! Meet incredibly knowledgeable Boston By Foot guides and their groupies. Revel in the historical significance and the trivial delights of the Hub of the Universe.
