BCAE is celebrating its 85th Anniversary ( Shirley is 85 too). A celebration is a great time for those of us willing to go forward. Success is for those of us who are willing to collaborate and cooperate by combining our skills and talents, and by forming foundation architecture to support us.

The August 22, 2018 Boston Fashion Meetup and Boston Fashion Designers Group had a great response to discussion on building future success of the Fashion Apparel Industry. Lets continue the discussion at BCAE, Boston Center for Adult Education

Jay Calderin will interview Shirley Willett on her book launch, “PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE: Fashion Memoir, 70 Years of Design, Engineering, Education, Manufacturing & Technology”. Learning about the past industry can make us more aware for dealing with present problems and see how to redesign a new, successful future for all in fashion: entrepreneurs and consumers.

BCAE will host a wine and cheese reception during which time copies of Shirley's book, "Past, Present & Future: Fashion Memoir” will be available for purchase and signing. Special for BCAE's celebration and Boston Fashion Week, the book is being offered at a good discount.

Shirley Willett's portrait will be featured in BCAE's 85th Anniversary Exhibit, "Faces of 1933" from the lens of photographer Joel Benjamin in the Canon Gallery.
