What's Family Day?
 
ALMA's Family Day program is an annual event that lets you and your children explore Armenian life, history and culture together.
 
The event offers several enriching activity stations that introduce children to 3,000 years of Armenian heritage all under one roof.
 
We hope your family will be a part of the excitement and education that will be buzzing at ALMA this Sunday!

This Sunday, ALMA will host its annual Family Day program. From 2 to 4 p.m. the Museum's Contemporary Art Galleries will be transformed into an exciting cultural playground for you and your little ones to explore Armenian history, art and culture!  Don't miss this afternoon of free family-friendly fun...
 
Every family will also receive a FREE Family Day magnet with your family's photo on it to remember the special afternoon!

Dance Workshop!
Learn a Traditional Armenian Dance
 
 
Kick-off the afternoon with a traditional Armenian folk dance taught by ALMA Curators Susan and Gary Lind-Sinanian.  Let your little ones learn the basic elements of Armenian folk dancing and see them experience the joy of movement!

Watch Big Joe bring favorite children's fairytales and other stories to life with his trunk of puppets, props and wigs.

Final Inning Reception - Event Photo CollageSee your children transform themselves into traditional Armenian brides, grooms, dancers and musicians at ALMA's Costume Corner! 
 
Racks of colorful Armenian children's costumes, accessories and shoes from ALMA's Textile Collection will be available for your little ones to wear.  Kids can mix-and-match or let ALMA Textile Curator Susan Lind-Sinanian do the styling. 
Craft Center
Creative Creations are Made Here
 
Feeling artsy?  Bring out your inner Gorky or Saryan with an assortment of paint, crayons, craft paper, colored pencils and other art supplies.  Display your masterpiece in the Museum's Children's Gallery or take home your art that day!
