Boston PHP email policy

With a large member base, it is important that when we do send mass emails to the Boston PHP members, that you actually read it. We want our emails to be important, meaningful, and relevant. We don't want any of you to feel like your getting spammed, too much email, or irrelevant information. We certainly don't want you to filter it.

Here is a policy we have devised:

  • We never share nor expose your email address, name, or any other information with any company
  • We do not allow members to send mass emails to the group
  • Only Boston PHP Organizers can send email to you.
  • All email comes from the following addresses: info@meetup.com, or php-29@meetup.com
  • We carefully consider when to send news and announcements from Boston PHP. We try to limit it to only several mass email announcements per month.
  • In some cases we will email you interesting events going on in other groups. But we only do this for groups we know, and when it is a free and open to the public event.
  • We never spam you with products to buy or perks.
  • Members can contact other members by way of the meetup profile page, which never exposes your email address.

To control the email you get from Meetup.com, you can change your profile and privacy setting here
