Dive Into Kubernetes by Chris Willmore from Kapost

Description: You've probably heard that Kubernetes is a powerful container orchestration framework - but what does it really do? What is it like to adopt and work with? We'll first familiarize ourselves with Kubernetes through a quick introduction of core concepts. We'll then cover the experience of migrating a complex micro-service system over to the platform. We'll talk about what worked, what didn't, and how you can take the leap and get the most out of Kubernetes.

Bio: Chris Willmore, VP of Engineering at Kapost. Chris just moved to Boulder after 10 years in Europe. While overseas his roles included development at Yahoo! Answers, leading a team building content ingestion systems for Shazam, and leading development of a customer engagement platform at SaleMove. When Chris isn't dealing with reverse culture shock, he enjoys reading sci-fi.
