What do you believe are the most important, defining characteristics of a challenger brand?

Heineken, PlayStation, Pepsi Co., Danone. Would be interested to hear from youth brands, consumer goods, alcohol, sports apparel or energy drinks brands.

Are you involved in marketing or advertising for a brand or agency?

I'm most interested in the use of startup technology to break traditional approaches to marketing. Fundamentally I believe advertising (in the traditional sense) is just broken. I believe in, focus on and want to learn more about how a deep understanding of technology, coupled with great creative thinking produces experiences, conversations and emotional responses that build dedicated communities around brands. I believe it's more important to lead with technology and a consumer insight then with a slogan.

Do you work for an established brand (examples: Gillette, L’Oreal, Sealy, Samsonite, Bank of America) or a challenger brand (examples: Casper, Harry’s, Glossier, Away)?

Always interested to see new technologies/platforms presented so prefer to see very early stage startups in the content, platform, mobile communication and hardware spaces.
