The Oven Rebuilding Project FAQ

Q: Where's the Indiegogo fundraising campaign?

Q: How can I take Sarah Lohman's historical cooking class?

The individual classes are now sold out, but the private class for up to six people ($500) is still available!

To contribute and reserve the private class, choose the Private Hearth Cooking Class perk.

To learn more details, see the Indiegogo campaign homepage

Q: How can I take the oven building workshops?

Q: How can I volunteer to help build the oven?

Professional brick oven mason J. Patrick Manley will be leading the core oven construction and teaching hands-on oven building workshops from Wednesday, April 27 through Monday, May 2.

You can attend as many or as few workshop days as you wish, on any combination of days.

To sign up for the workshop, simply buy a ticket for each day you wish to attend. Workshop tickets are $90 per person per day. All funds go towards paying the mason and buying materials for the oven.

You can also volunteer to help with the old oven teardown, site prep, exterior bricklaying to finish the oven, and more!

Q: How else can I get involved?

In addition to the joining the construction, please donate to the Indiegogo fundraising campaign if you can, and tell your friends (we're on Facebook), local bloggers, and anyone you think would like to get involved, donate, and have their name inscribed on the new oven!

All fundraiser contributions -- including workshop tickets -- are tax-deductible, as The Old Stone House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

If you want to donate but aren't interested in a workshop, we're offering lots of other great Indiegogo fundraiser perks at various levels. And all donors will have their name inscribed on the oven's brass dedication plaque!

Want to offer a new perk? Have questions about anything? Let Jace know at

Last but not least, please drop by the old oven and say hello! We're hosting free Build Your Own Pizza days at Noon every Saturday from now until the construction. (RSVP for April 2, April 9, and April 16.)

Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and support.

See you at the oven!
