What we’re about

Welcome!

Brighton Humanists brings together non-religious and secular people living within Brighton & Hove and the wider East Sussex area.

We advocate a way of living that’s free from religion, by bringing like-minded people together who share common values of empathy and compassion without the need for a belief in a deity.

We host monthly talks and presentations focused on a wide range of issues as well as social events.

We are one of the most well-established humanist groups in the UK, having first formed in 1954. We have hosted several notable speakers, covering local, national and international issues, covering issues related to society, science, critical thinking and the environment.

Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings in central Brighton, with an entry fee of £4 (payable via Meetup or on the door) to cover our costs.

We are a partner group of Humanists UK.
We are an Associate Member of Humanists International.

You can also join our Facebook group.
