What we're about

We train on Mondays and Wednesdays 7:30pm-9pm at City Academy, Bristol, BS5 9JH - come and join us, beginners absolutely welcome!

> ENJOY YOUR FIRST 4 SESSIONS FREE! <

"Korfball" means "basketball" in Dutch and is similar to netball and basketball although there are plenty of differences. Korfball is a mixed-gender team sport which is played with an equal number of men and women, working together to outscore the opposition. We're looking for new people who are keen to learn a new sport and hopefully make some new friends on the way!

Excited to try something new? Why not give Korfball a go! - Training Session

City Academy Sports Centre

Hello and welcome to Bristol City Korfball Club's Meetup event.

WELCOME BACK!
We are finally back indoors playing full unrestricted Korfball! This means there will be close contact with other individuals, so if you have any concerns please do get in touch.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THIS SESSION
This session is one of our regular training sessions. We're all a bit rusty so we'll be back doing the basics and playing lots of matches! There will be plenty of people around to help you get started if you're new to the sport.

We are a very social club, so there is a strong chance of a group going to the pub after the session for a beer or soft drink. It's a 5 minute walk from the car park :)

BUT WHAT EVEN IS KORFBALL?
Korfball is a fast paced mixed-gender ball sport, similar to Basketball or Netball. In fact it means 'basketball' in Dutch. Teams are made up of 4 boys and 4 girls who work together to outscore the opposition. It's a very inclusive game and lots of fun!

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?
Korfball is great fun and we are a very welcoming and friendly club. Most people join us with zero experience in the sport. Some people join us to get fit. Others join to make new friends. Whatever your reason you will be welcome with us. At the very least come give it a try, or you'll never know!

JOIN US
We're looking for new players to join us for training, and we're running FREE sessions for the first 4 times you attend :) (usually £5 per session)

WHAT TO BRING
Please wear appropriate sports clothing and indoor sports trainers. Also make sure to bring plenty of water! It can get pretty hot in the hall sometimes, so we advise shorts and t-shirt.

PARKING
If you are travelling by car, please be warned that there is often a child's football session running just before us. This can cause the car park to be extremely full until shortly after 19.30. Don't worry if you are caught in this and are a few minutes late, as we are aware of the situation. You can also optionally park across the road, or in the school car park if you want to. (Unsure if this is still the case).
