Hope, Steps and a Cure Walk for AAMDS

As some of you know, I have been volunteering for the Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation since Dad passed away in 2011. I run a monthly support group in Phoenix for patients, family and friends where we meet to give each other the support and understanding they need.

Through this group, I have now decided to take the next step and am arranging a fundraising and awareness walk for them in February. It's a big project but one that's incredibly important to me. We need to raise awareness about these bone marrow diseases and raise funds to help them find a cure.

The walk will take place on Sunday, February 2nd at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, AZ. Even more exciting for me is that fact that my Mum will be visiting and will be walking with me.

This is where all of you come in. The only way for this event to be successful is for me to have people either join my team, create their own team or donate to me. I know everyone has a cause they champion and this one is mine. I really need the support of my fellows Brits! You can either donate directly to me, create your own team or create a virtual walker team. The link to my page is below:

Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk Phoenix is a fun and festive walk to raise community awareness about bone marrow failure diseases while raising much needed funds for the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) to provide programs and services to help patients and families.

Thank you so much in advance for your help. This means the world to me.

Yes I'm all signed up. I thought I'd done it and when I saw Kim on Saturday at Annette's he reminded me.

Hi everyone, happy new year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

The walk I am planning is just about a month away and I could really use some support. If you have the time to sign up to walk, I would really appreciate it. If not, if you could consider making a small donation it would help greatly. It's been a very challenging project for to undertake the planning of this and I so want it to be successful. It's such an important cause for me since my Dad passed away from MDS in 2011. It's surprising how many people are affected by bone marrow failure diseases and the money raised at this walk will help fund on going education, FREE conferences, research and the local support my group provides to patients and families every month.

Thank you so very much for considering this. It means an awful lot to have everyone's support.
