We will have dinner at 6:00pm and then see The 39 Steps at 8:00pm.
The 39 Steps, October 26 - November 16, 2013. Adapted from Alfred Hitchcock’s celebrated 1935 film, The 39 Steps is Broadway’s longest running comedy, mounting over five-hundred performances! This story surrounds the dashing Richard Hannay and his heroic efforts to solve the riddle of The 39 Steps while staying a step ahead of desperate Nazi spies. This entertaining thriller-spoof is a tongue-in-check homage to spy thrillers and all things Hitchcock, with a little bit of Monty Python thrown into the mix. This two-time Tony Award-winning show features four actors playing over one hundred roles, which means you are in for a break-neck treat on the LTA stage!
Cost $22.00 if purchased from me ($22.60 if purchased online from LTA), plus the cost of your meal plus tax/tip. I will purchase seats together. This is a social event, an opportunity to meet other theater lovers, so you must come to dinner and purchase a meal before the show. Tickets will be distributed at dinner, not mailed.
LTA does not offer up any seats at discount to Gold Star.
Dinner at 6:00pm at Sang Jun Restaurant, 300 King Street (King & N Fairfax)
Sang Jun Restaurant is relatively new (as of Dec 2012 ) and was completely renovated from the Thai restaurant it replaced. The decor is quite nice -- the owners thankfully avoided the "Thai themed" furnishings that are so typical among Thai restaurants.
It is about a 15 minute walk from the Little Theater of Alexandria. I plan to walk, departing the restaurant at 7:30PM. Bring comfortable walking shoes/carry those high heels.
