GXE has open boardgaming for the public every Tuesday evening. They open at 5pm so feel free to start gathering then. Some of us arrive by 5:30, but others arrive at 6:30 or even later. If you let me know when you're coming, we can try to time our game starts and finishes so you won't have to wait to long to jump in. If you change your mind at the last minute, please update your RSVP so we know. GXE officially closes at 10pm, but they sometimes let us stay a bit later. There are usually a handful of non-meetup folks there as well, playing Settlers or Chess or whatever. Plus a few Magic players.
Feel free to bring your own games, or enjoy what other members bring. Also, GXE has a shelf full of demo games you can play, including: Agricola, Puerto Rico, Lords of Waterdeep, Infiltration, Resident Evil, DOOM, Go, Bombay, Tsuro, Guillotine, Rocketville, Settlers of Catan, Carcassone, Axis & Allies, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Tales of Arabian Nights, etc.
GXE is located one block northeast of the intersection of Copans and Powerline. They are in a one-story industrial-park building, but look for the bright green sign and door. GXE's phone number is[masked] if you need directions. Usually we're in the huge main gaming room, but sometimes we'll end up in one of the back rooms, so if you don't see us, ask at the counter.
They sell soda, water, and snacks (like microwaved mini-pizza and hot pockets, chips, candy bars, and ice cream bars). It is much appreciated if you buy food and/or drinks there, but it is also perfectly acceptable if you want to bring your own in.
