Text Mining: A Case Study

György Ottucsák

Instead of a general overview of text mining the talk will focus on a specific text classification challenge and offer a decent solution to it.The developed classifier uses raw text extracted from grocery receipts as its input and classifies them into banner classes (e.g. Walmart, Target, etc.) Since the code is only several line in Python, short (semi-)demo will close the talk.

Systems thinking
Márton Trencséni

Systems thinking is breaking down complexity into component parts and the processes between them and then modeling it with equations. Natural systems include organisms, ecosystems and climates. Man made systems include national economies, business sectors and companies. These ideas inspired us to create an explicit business model of Prezi whose output had surprising lessons for us.
