The San Antonio Buddhism Meetup

  • Apr 14, 2013 · 5:30 PM
  • Buddhist Temple of San Antonio (Chua Phuoc Hue)

This week, we will have a 20-30min meditation followed by a Dharma talk. Master Thich Phuoc Quang will be discussing [TBD]. After the service, those who wish can stay for a vegetarian dinner. Feel free to bring a vegetarian dish, unless this is your first time. If it's your first time, you are our guest. After the first visit you're family. At 5pm (30 min prior to this service), Teacher Phuoc Quang will have an open session for the purpose of giving a brief orientation and answering any questions you may have. Also, feel free to follow this
link to our files section of the meetup. There you can find a copy of the Chant Book and a document on Buddhist Temple Etiquette.

Are there any groups for preteens? I would like my 12yr old to learn about buddhism.

      Hi Patricia:

We do not have any specific class for preteens; however, the monk at our temple is good at speaking to the audience that is present. In the past, the head monk has given great advice to young children to elder people. I would recommend showing up the regular service at 5PM to ask questions to the monk. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need to know anything else.
