New Years Eve and Day -New Years Eve we hold a Hokke Senbo service to purify ourselves for the upcoming year. At Midnight we ring the bell 108 times to bring in the New Year. We have room for six people to stay overnight. Please register for this by calling or emailing the Temple. The following morning we will be doing the first service of the year. A blessing service is followed by a traditional breakfast of Ozoni soup (Japanese traditional New Years soup) Visiting the Temple on New Years Day is a long tradition in Buddhism. Come to the Temple, receive a blessing, get a Ofuda or Omamori for good luck in the coming year. Read your fortune with the Omikuji. This is a wonderful tradition and way to bring in the New Year. The Temple is open all day New Years day. 9 - 5pm
