Having "H" does not define us. Being honest about it is obviously important to us and that is defining. Statistically, we are hardly alone! It is estimated that approximately 30% to 50% of the general population (depending on age) has herpes. Responsible singles with "H" want to be open and up front, but it is still awkward to need to have "The Talk."

As a member of our group, you don't have to worry about that. We are all in the same boat. We are all here to support you and reassure you that "having the gift" is not the end of anything and in fact can be the beginning of some new friendships built on acceptance, trust, and hope for worry-free relationship happiness.

My photo is shown as the organizer because there is no shame in having "H." Most of us got into this situation because we trusted someone who was not up front with us. Some of us got here because we willingly dated or married someone with the gift. Whether we are here as a result of betrayal or a bad roll of the dice, we are good people who don't want this to be an issue in their dating relationships.

This group is not going to be a hook-up place, but it is going to be a safe, fun, and comfortable place to make friendships, build relationships, and possibly find someone special. To do that, we need to be an active group and I invite anyone interested in becoming an assistant organizer with us.

Hopefully, we can check our bags at the door. We will have special discussion meetups to vent, commiserate, comfort, and brainstorm. Your first step starts with joining. You will certainly enjoy discovering that there are many wonderful and good people here to welcome you!
