What we’re about
The Barony of Caerthe is the Denver, Colorado chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a non-profit educational organization devoted to the study of pre-seventeenth century culture. We concentrate on the Middle Ages and Renaissance in Europe; some members study the Middle East, Asia and other regions in the world. Come join us for archery, armored combat, rapier/fencing, crafting, and more.

720-560-0627 (calls preferred over text)Greetings Caerthe and Friend Archers,
Due to the continuing drainage issues at Scout Park, we will be moving our practices temporarily down to Bear Creek Park at 15600 W. Morrison Road, Lakewood, CO 80228.
Subsequently, Caerthe will not be charging the $3 fee for archery. Instead, you will need to pay the park fee which is $10 per CAR (whole park day pass), so now is a great time to carpool.
We will be using a public range, so there will be other shooters there. This is an opportunity to make new friends and introduce them to our fun group. Because we are using the range, we will not be using our target butts; there are maintained hay bales in place. This does not mean that we can’t do the shoots that we want to do, there are at least two targets at the 20-, 30- and 40-yard ranges so we use one and leave the other for someone else.
They do have a couple of small sunshades, but please bring your own as well. The standing sunshades do have bow hangs. Also, each range lane has stands to hold arrows.
Crossbows are allowed.
The time will still be the same 9am start.
This is a nice range, but not for everyone. We will be working with the City of Nothglenn to figure out the drainage issues and will keep everyone informed along the way.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact your Captain of Archers. That would be me.
