Mount Burke (Out and Back)
Details
The road to the Cataract Creek provincial recreation area that is used to access this trailhead is sometimes gated at the highway. In this case, parking can be found on the west side of the 940 . The trail to Mount Burke is a great option all year round. It's straightforward with a moderate incline and under the tree canopy. The summit opens up and the views can be great, the forecast, extremely windy and cloudy.
12km /890 meter elevation gain, out & back.
"We are planning to complete this in high wind and cloudy conditions!!!"
Equipment Required: Great boots, gators, glasses or ski goggles
Equipment Suggested: Warm clothing second layer at the treeline or as per wind. If you have snow shoes bring them, it is an out and back so we can ditch them if the snow depth is low enough.
ALWAYS USE ALLTRAILS FOR DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD
ALWAYS TURN ON ALLTRAILS DIRECTIONS BEFORE LEAVING HIWAY 1
