A mash-up of tech, style and innovation from DressCode

We’re living in times where the amount and complexity of technology at our fingertips is growing by the day. It’s an integral part of daily life, helping people to create amazing new experiences, enhancing the quality of life and shaping the lifestyle of millions of people.

What’s happening?
DressCode is a brand new Cambridge-based business. Passionate about tech, wearing their hearts on sleeves with innovative shirt designs inspired by tech. They want to share their passion with like-minded people, so they reached out, found some of the most agile minds and creative thinkers from across the tech sectors and brought them together, creating a fun and informative evening in which to celebrate, share and be inspired by the technology of today and the future.

The line up
Dan Sodergren
– BBC tech correspondant and digital authority. Dan will share his thoughts about the ‘Future of Technology: faster, slower or just because we can?’
CallHR – ‘Growth hacking your team’ what this really means and how you can innovate your team building with technology.
Jon Torrens – Game developer and public speaking coach, Jon will share what’s happening in the world of gaming and gamification – ‘Gaming: Player 2 has joined the Game.’

Throughout the evening there will be a series of interactive science challenges will run by Cambridge Science Centre.

You can support CSC’s work through the DressCode shirt raffle, your chance to be one of the first people in the world to have a DressCode shirt; tickets will be available at the event.

It’s FREE But spaces are limited.  Wednesday September 19th 2018, Allia Future Business Centre, Cambridge.Tickets can be found here: https://bit.ly/2Lyw1QA

If you find yourself unable to attend, please advise us ASAP so that we can free up your space for someone else.

Pecha Kucha Cambridge – new faces wanted!

PastedImage-4.png

You may have heard that Ann Hawkins is going to be taking over running Pecha Kucha Cambridge after Jon Torren’s final event on 7th August.

Ann is putting together a team to deliver the Pecha Kucha events so if you know anyone who might like to get involved, please let her know. [address removed]

What they need are people who can produce posters, spot potential speakers, encourage them, get them to submit their slides and info in good time, review the slides before the event & weed out any sneaky "I'm secretly here to advertise my business" types, add details to the PK website, spread the word, get people to come, make sure when they come they're having a good time, collect donations to send to PK for the upkeep of the site, load the slides on a lap top, record the presentations at the venue, edit them and load them on to the PK website afterwards and clap each other on the back for a job well done.

Any help, suggestions, ideas are all welcome plus, if you have a non-business passion you’d like to talk about, then Ann would love you to be in the first line up – hopefully in October!
