Practice at Mission Trails Regional Park

Requirements: completion of the three day canyoneering course, or three technical canyon descents, or the equivalent in experience. Equipment: helmet, harness, descender and three locking crabs. You must be comfortable on raps with awkward starts. You will be responsible for your own safety, as well as looking out for everyone else's safety. Activities at height are dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. I am not an instructor, guide or guru. I have 200', 150'. and 120' ropes, but bring your own if you have it. I have ropemen, VT prussics and many types of descenders for loan to responsible parties. With over 12 possible raps in our inventory, we can practice side by side: ascending, transitions and passing knots. If you're familiar with our location, join us anytime. If not, please be on time, it's difficult to describe where we go: the great granite symbol of ultimate defiance, the Middle Finger. Meet at the gate, just down from the Info Center. Park outside gate or in the lot near the Center. Join us afterwards at the chill café (Rubio's) for tall tales and, importantly, planning future canyon advents.

Yeah, thank you very much, John and everybody else who helped to show me things. I really felt like I learned a lot and got some good experience, and enjoyed everybody's company. Hope to see you guys again some time soon!

What could be better than getting together with old friends and some new friends and no frenemies? Thanks everyone for your contributions. Thanks Nathan, Luca and Tiff for help with setting up the anchors.

My cell for last minute delays or cancelations[masked]-5230. Look for my silver Sub with the tailgate up and the ropes falling out. Bring rope if you have it.
