A short but enjoyable day of gaming for me yesterday at Board Game Madness!!! Dodd, Dustin, and I started setting up Infamy but then decided to play Love Letter while we waited for some more gamers to come in from the cold. Suzanne joined us shortly after we started so we just dealt her in. Forgot who won but the most hilarious part was Suzanne guessing Dodd's hand at least twice in a row on the first try with no info available. Following that game, the two D's, myself, and Travis began playing Infamy, a futuristic game in which you play a freelancer trying to either start your own faction or take over one of the three controlling groups on a colonized Mars. I really enjoyed the game. A little bit of everything. Bidding, negotiation, resource management. Good stuff. Travis had a very impressive lead but I was able to come from behind and steal the win with some underhanded moves. Appropriate to the game, I suppose.

Cheaty Mages was next. Cute game, decent filler. Finally, before I had to leave, I played Rise of Augustus. Again, decent filler but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the Bingo mechanic. Not sure what antics went on after I left for my daughter's choral performance but I did see Yedo, Belfort, and a few others during the day at other tables. See you all for the final BGM!!! of the year on the 28th!

I'll be bringing Infamy. Any other requests? Being that I have to leave around six I may not bring much more than my "newbie" box. Any requests?
