Summer! This is our SUMMER clean-up of Laura's Trail. Meet at 9:00 at the OLD Visitor Center, just inside the gate.
We pick up trash along trails and shorelines until around noon - a pretty way to spend a morning. Lunch @ a local venue usually follows. Usually barbecue. Usually hushpuppies.
Laura's Trail is part of the trail system at Latta Nature Preserve on Mountain Island Lake. It is named after Laura Anderson, a memorable and active Berg member who we sadly lost in a car accident in 1995.
Twice a year, we do clean-ups for her trail and for others in the Preserve.
Rating: Pretty easy, but maybe muddy.
Bring water, and gloves, grabbers, bags if you have them. (The Club provides some equipment, but possibly not enough.
