Here's another Friday night ride on the Eastside with the goal of being completed BEFORE we need lights! We'll ride out from Woodinville (Wilmot Gateway Park) to warm up on some flats and then climb Norway Hill from the "other side", go thru Bothell and climb up Hollyhills, return through the UW/Cascadia campus and then cruise the valley for some fun flat miles to wrap it up. This could be a great warmup for rides on the weekend! The route will be about 21 miles with 1200+ feet of elevation. Draft route at http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2428245
Larger font cue sheets can be available at the start if you let the Ride Leader know by email by Thursday noon. The pace will be Steady on the flats; faster riders and better climbers are welcome, but for them the ride becomes self-paced and self-guided. The ride leader is still kinda slow up hills we encounter but will always get there. We will plan to regroup at the top of the two major hills so everyone can climb at their own speed and inclination. Riders should have 2 tubes, pump, and the knowledge of how to use them.
Pace is Steady (12-14 mph on the flats)
Terrain has some hills (see route details) and some flats
Regroups - Occasional (and specifically at the top of the major hills)
Weather - Steady Rain cancels
