Woodinville to Issaquah Coffee Company Loop

Time for another Sunday spin around Lk Sammamish to visit the Issaquah Coffee Company! Sunday morning should be a quieter, pleasant time for a morning outing. We'll head out and go around the west side of Lake Sammamish to Issaquah where we will target a short break for drink and refreshments and then return on the east side of Lake Sammamish. Map and source for cue sheets is at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/17678982 This ride begins in Woodinville at Wilmot Gateway Park (we'll leave from the parking lot adjacent to the ball fields).

Destination - Issaquah Coffee Company - I had their "12" Seahawk cookie twice in the preceding weeks and the Seahawks won both times....alas the string was broken last week with the loss to Tampa Bay!  However, this is a new week and maybe that was just a statistical aberration....so we'll try one more time to see if it helps them win against the Carolina Panthers.....

Ride Details:

Distance: 40.00 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,050 feet
Pace:Steady [12-14 mph]
Terrain: Rolling
Regroup: Occasional
Weather Cancels?: Showers Cancel

As usual for Fall and Winter group rides, as a courtesy to others in the group, you will need long fenders unless it is bone dry out, and zero percent chance of rain forecast. Showers will cancel. Regroups will be occasional, though not at every turn, so please bring a cue sheet or load the route on your GPS. We will always wait at the top of the hills, so you can climb those at your own pace.

Mechanicals will not stop the group. Please be sure you have the equipment and knowledge to change flats, plus a cue sheet to get home, or a phone to call for assistance if needed.

Please make sure you are at the start and ready to ride 15 minutes before rollout. You must attend the safety briefing and sign the waiver, or register on this page and check in at the start, in order to ride with the group. There will be restrooms at the start.

I will not be at the start if weather conditions meet the criteria for cancellation (showers cancel). If the weather is such that we wouldn't start, I will post a cancellation notice in the Comments block, below, at least 2 hours prior.

Please register for the ride by clicking on the red Register Now button at the top of the webpage https://www.cascade.org/node/39421 . In the screen that follows, click the waiver release box, complete the Emergency Contact Number, and click on Save. By doing this you will save time at the ride start.

Mentoring is available. Please contact me if you're interested, and do know the route.

If you've not registered on the Cascade web site (see instructions above - https://www.cascade.org/node/39421 ), please try to do so before 0800 when I will probably print the pre-registration sheet for this morning's ride.

Looking forward to it. Hoping it's not too windy, strong winds here in Edmonds.

Planning to ride! The rain should have (largely) moved through by our start time! Dress warm!
