Paddle the Squamscott River to Downtown Exeter

Details
Join us for a leisurely paddle as we ride the incoming tide to downtown Exeter (high tide: 3:31 pm). We'll stop for a snack or ice cream, walk around town for a bit, and then paddle with the outgoing tide back to the put-in. Afterwards, those who are interested can join us for some post-paddle food and libations.
IMPORTANT: Because this is a tidal river, please ARRIVE EARLY to park, organize your gear, say hello, etc.
B.I.B. Time -- Butts in Boats -- is 12:30 pm. We are on the water and MOVING at this time.
Any kayak is OK for this trip, as we'll be paddling with the tide pushing us along. Just be aware that our total distance will be approximately 10 miles. Keep this in mind, particularly if you have a smaller boat. The suggested kayak size is 12' or longer.
Wearing a lifejacket (PFD) is mandatory when paddling with us.
Bathrooms: Out-house at the boat launch, indoor flush toilets in the basement of Exeter City Hall.
Ice Cream at Snack/Break Time:
Stillwell's Riverwalk Ice Cream is about 20 yards from our take-out spot for lunch/snack. Bring money with you and enjoy an ice cream with us! This is a long-standing tradition on this particular paddle!
