This is a final reminder for all of you who have signed up to attend the Cavalier Heart Clinic on Sunday, March 18, at 1 pm. The clinic will be held at the Capital Area Veterinary Specialists Clinic located at 7958 Shoal Creek Boulevard. Dr. Katie Meier, DVM and Board Certified Cardiologist, will give the talk, answer questions and examine the dogs for heart murmurs.
Please remember the following:
Bring a chair as there is not enough seating in the clinic for everyone to sit down.
There is limited parking at the clinic so you may park in the Lowe's parking lot next to the clinic.
Walk your dog before coming in.
Charge is $40/per dog. Payment is via cash (exact cash will be welcome) or check only. No credit cards.*
Please fill out the attached form in advance of attending and bring with you.
*If you wish to attend and hear the lecture about Mitral Valve Prolapse and other cardio issues with Cavaliers but not have your dog checked, there is no fee.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about cardiac disease in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. Finding out that your Cavalier has a heart murmur due to Mitral Valve disease is NOT a death sentence and you can learn to recognize the warning signs and find the treatment and medication that will bring you many more years of quality life for your Cavalier.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and their Cavaliers!
