Here's a little more about the instructor Jason Tawa! Isla.

Bio: Jason, owner of Giving World Percussion, has been playing hand drums for 10 years. Within two months of his first touch on a djembe he was living in Southern Africa (Zimbabwe) and enjoying drum circles with participants from many nations of Africa. This African Baptism into drumming stuck with him and has changed his life. Jason began playing piano in elementary school and played stringed instruments (violin, viola, upright bass) until shortly before his trip to Africa. Over the past 10 years he has studied with master African and Latin percussionists, performed with rock bands (currently "Love Juice" with Crash from 101.1 WJRR), and others. Outside of playing percussion Jason has taught a wide variety social studies courses for over 6 years in Central Florida. Tawanda Moyo ne Matombo, Jason's Shona name, is also a drum circle facilitator who has trained with Kalani (Drum Circle Music) and Jana Broder (Drum Magic).

Jason is also a long time member of the Central Florida Drum Circle Meetup, so if you have any questions, please be sure to contact him directly.
