The COGS is an organization promoting greater awareness and understanding of geologic sciences in Central Oregon. The COGS events and activities include presentations, field trips, "lunch and learn" discussions, geo-explorations, and hikes to places of geologic interest. Members include geoscience professionals, amateur geologists, and folks interested in the natural resources and geology of Central Oregon
