This group is for all of those who like to (learn to) dance CEROC, the social partner dance (no need to bring one), which is so hugely popular in the UK.
The aim of this group is to connect social dancers of all abilities, beginners, intermediate and advanced, who miss dancing CEROC in Amsterdam and want to get together for frequent class/freestyle evenings and/or afternoons.
Ceroc Amsterdam events cancelled
Post pandemic we have tried to re-build CEROC Amsterdam. However we have not been able to provide you with weekly class nights, which we believe are essential to grow and stay in touch with our dancing community. We did offer monthly freestyles, and we had hoped that we would see our regulars return to the dance floor. Unfortunately the number of dancers required to cover the costs of organising these events were insufficient.
We therefore regretfully have to inform you that we have cancelled all planned CEROC Amsterdam events for the foreseeable future. We will try again once we have another qualified Ceroc teacher, whom can provide weekly CEROC classes in Amsterdam and of course we will let you know as soon as we can.
However, this is not the end of CEROC Social Dancing in the Netherlands!
We have been teaching and dancing CEROC for just over one year in Leiden.
Every Tuesday evening, Ania & Xavier offer a CEROC class night in the University Sports Centre Leiden. They have a nice balanced mix of regular beginners and experience dancers. You can attend their Tuesday evening class for less than €8 or even for FREE the first time. The class is taught in a beautiful dance studio and the social gathering afterwards, in the Sports Bar, often goes on until midnight. USC Leiden has a small free parking and is only a few bus stops from Leiden Central Station.
CEROC Leiden also offers FREE monthly Sunday afternoon FREEstyle/tea dances in University Sports Centre Leiden and has its own MeetUp group.
