NYCMM Play In - Our First!

Has your violin been lonely? Your sheet music a little dusty? Come join in our very first chamber play-in on a spring Sunday. A few outlines for our play-in:

3/30/14 UPDATE: I'm going to relax the guidelines to a 2 performer minimum for this event.

1. All groups must consist of 2 or more performers.

2. Keep each performance to about 10 minutes.

3. As this is a Play in and we want to keep it casual, pieces do NOT have to be polished.. but should be played through to the end.

4. If you have not already, please update your profile on to show what instrument you are and enable the email option if you would like other musicians to contact you to collaborate.

5. Those who would like to participate, please email me with your intended piece, group make up and length of piece.

We will be at the McLearning Center at Opera America. Enter at the 7th floor, take the stairs up to the 8th floor and make 3 right turns and we are at the end of the hallway. There is an upright piano but you must bring your own music stands.

Fee: $5.00

Absolutely! It is a very casual setting. Please understand that some of pieces to be performed are "in progress".

As a lover of chamber music and not a musician, can we attend as appreciative 'audience'?

Do we have to be in a group?

I would like at least a duet situation between instruments. We are a chamber music group. Let me know if you need help to be in touch with another musician. You can email me directly.
