The Charlotte Black Film Collective was started in 2011 as a network for African American creatives in Film, Music, New Media and Technology; to engage in conversations host seminars & workshops, invite Industry leaders to speak and provide a platform for collaboration and to grow economically. Under the umbrella of Power Up USA a 501c3 organization our goal is to expand the opportunities for minorities interested in the Film industry.

We are a meetup of Smart, Talented Black Creators who meet for collaboration, encouragement and resource sharing. The Charlotte/Carolina Black Film Collective have conducted Bootcamp for Directors and Writers, Industry Speakers, Casting Directors, and more.
We are back with our first in-person meetup of the year.
During every meeting you will have the chance to introduce yourself, and participate in our Speed Connect ( like speed dating but for Film People)
The non-member fee is $10 per meetup or $5 for members ( Members can pay at door).
