Movie: "The Visitor" (Event 1 of 2)

After the daily 5:10 Mass, there will be a viewing of the film, "The Visitor", at 6:30 in Biss Hall Basement.

Let's watch "The Visitor," a heartfelt humanistic drama exploring immigration and identity, on Thursday, Dec. 8 as a response to our parish social justice concern. The movie can help us prepare for Fr. Greg Boyle's lecture this January about connectedness to those living on the margins.

You won't forget the emotions of encountering strangers and unfamiliar cultures that upset the status quo of the film's characters. Place yourself in the various roles and find out who is "the visitor".

We will host a separate, post-film discussion on Sunday, Dec. 11 to talk about our impressions. We call it "Justice on Tap" - a night to share views and brews! At Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, 911 E Morehead St, Charlotte, NC 28204 in the Morehead Room (RSVP on separate event).

Parishioners Drs. Sebastian Cobarrubias and Maribel Casas-Cortes will present informative facts about migration and border management. Join us for brews, food and conversatio

Please RSVP on both event pages and sign up with this link or on our website!
