Blowing Wind Falls via Ritchie Hollow Trail
Details
Hiya folks! So we did this hike with Todd guiding us back in February and we knew we wanted to come back for the wild flowers in the Spring. The trail is moderately strenuous, 2.8 mile round trip hike (though we may go further) with over 650 feet of elevation gain. The trail ends with a beautiful 30-foot waterfall called Blowing Wind Falls.
Some of our hikes are adventures, in that we don't always know how far we'll go or how long we'll take, which means we don't always have an exact end time. We also hike at a pretty good pace to get some exercise (which is not for everyone)...if this sounds like your type of hiking we'd love to meet you (or see you again!).
The parking lot at the trailhead is pretty small, so let's try to carpool as much as possible (I can fit 3-4 in my SUV). The Walmart is only about 20 minutes from the trail.
Bring water and your favorite hiking yummies and we'll enjoy a snack by the waterfall and go from there!
