Photo Challenge: Meaningful Expressions
It's not only people who can have meaningful expressions, although it's often easiest to capture human expression. Animals can also have meaningful expressions. These expressions can be as simple as a facial expression or involve the tilt of a head. Let's see your facial expressions. But please, no selfies. Say something about each picture you post. Pictures may be new or old, color or black-and-white.

What we're about

We're gonna have fun expanding our understanding of and experience in photography, while expressing individual points of view photographing people on the street, nature & wildlife, architecture & skyline, butterflies & flowers.

At the same time we'll be exploring photographic composition, lighting, flash photography, and how best to use the camera. And we won't overlook the role software plays in developing our photographic vision - Lightroom, Photoshop, Capture One Pro, DxO Optics Pro, and the various plug-ins.

Use any type of camera: DSLR, mirrorless, point & shoot, or even a smartphone camera, as long as it lets you take pictures that let you express the photographer in you. You don't need to buy new lenses. First learn to use the lenses you own. Your photo gear will then grow as your photographic experience grows.

Also, you're invited to post pics to our group's Facebook page, once you join: https://www.facebook.com/groups/86413943702... (https://www.facebook.com/groups/864139437028727/)

I'll bring my photographic experience to each photo adventure and workshop that I lead. I'm always happy to answer questions and offer advice, whether it's on how to take better pictures or what camera, lens, flash, or tripod to buy, what software works best, and how to use that software. There's practically no area of photography that I haven't explored, and I plan to share all that with you.

Some of the topics we'll explore include: street photography; night and low-light photography; shooting landscape, wildlife, and nature; photographic exposure, lighting, and composition; handheld photography; Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and other software; black-and-white photography; close-up photography of butterflies and flowers; photographing interiors and architecture; flash photography; outdoor portraiture and portrait lighting; photographing birds and other wildlife; close-up photography.
