Why did you first get interested in knitting?

My mom taught me to make a crochet chain when I was little but all I could do was make one long string. So that's what I did. That was my first intro to the fiber world. I got pulled into knitting by the yarn. I looooooove yarn. So I figured I might as well figure out what to do with it.

Who taught you to knit?

I taught myself with some $1 book on how to knit and crochet. It was horribly confusing. Then I got the Stitch n' Bitch book and it made a lot more sense.

How long have you been knitting?

I started a scarf in 2000 (as yet still unfinished, it kept getting inexplicably wider and wider, damn accidental yarn overs!) but didn't seriously start to knit until probably 2008? Somewhere in there I taught myself to crochet and make yarn, too. YARN!!! <3

My name is Sarah. I like cats, making things, yoga, reading, Star Trek and learning new things.
